Stair and walkway refurbishment
High-traffic areas at Leicester station had worn flooring, posing safety risks.
To address this, old surfaces were removed, debris cleared, and stairs treated for rust. New stair and landing panels were installed with clear safety markings. The over-bridge received an anti-slip finish, and the area beneath the stairs was cleaned, buffed, and repainted, restoring a fresh, safe look.
Toilet refurbishment, London Bridge Station
In Coronation year Network Rail wanted to refresh the existing customer facilities at the station, showcasing London. Not only was the design a factor, Network Rail also wanted a solution to help protect against graffiti and vandalism.
We worked with artist Ilona Drew (www.idrewthis.co.uk) using well known London landmarks to come up with a vibrant and
relevant scheme.
External door graphics feature unique landmarks for each door, with interior walls wrapped in a coordinating color. To protect against graffiti, we installed PetG panels to prevent scratches and peeling. These panels were then ceramic-coated for added protection against traditional graffiti.
Feltham Station Lifts, South Western Railway
Public lifts are frequent targets for vandalism, creating unwelcoming spaces and encouraging further anti-social behavior. At Feltham station, damaged lift surfaces were restored using durable brushed steel vinyl, covering graffiti and scratches. This cost-effective, eco-friendly solution refreshed the lifts with minimal disruption to passengers.
Once wrapped with the architectural film we can then coat and protect against pen, paint and acid-etched graffiti. The clear coating and film are sacrificial and can easily be re-applied if necessary (in the event of deep scratching) as can the architectural vinyl making this a long term sustainable solution which leaves the lift looking brand new.
